Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is calling upon all spirited supporters to join them for an exhilarating and inspiring event: the #TeamArthur Firewalk!

On November 18, 2023, under the starry sky, participants will walk across a bed of red-hot embers, symbolising the warmth of love and the strength of the local community.

This blazing event will take place at Arthur Rank Hospice, Shelford Bottom, where compassion and care has touched countless lives, providing unwavering support during the most challenging times.

Peter Norton, from Melbourn, Cambridgeshire is encouraging the local community to join him, sharing why this unique challenge is important to him:

Male and female with their heads together smiling at the camera “In loving memory of my wife, Amanda, I will be taking part in #TeamArthurs Firewalk on 18 November. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity took great care of my wife and family, during the last months of her life. In addition to supporting Amanda during her five-year battle with Lung and Brain cancer. I am going to brave the Firewalk to help raise some fantastic funds for the charity.

Amanda’s spirit of warmth and love infuses this challenge with purpose. She cherished the sun’s embrace and radiated warmth wherever she went. For those who knew her, the Firewalk stands as a fitting tribute, a chance to honour her memory in a truly extraordinary way.”

#TeamArthur Firewalk will not only ignite your adventurous side but also fuel the essential work of Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. By walking this fiery path and gathering sponsorship, participants will contribute to the vital funds that sustain the Charity’s mission of care, comfort, and support.

We call upon 40 fiery souls to embrace the challenge, feel the heat of the fiery coals, and let your compassion shine, as we step forward for this unforgettable event.

Challenge and conquer your own fears at the same time as supporting people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition. Together, we can make every moment count.
