Get ready—our adorable knitted chicks are returning this March and April and you can help make a difference!

Each chick comes with a chocolate egg inside and will be available for just £2.00 from our reception at Arthur Rank Hospice, at the Alan Hudson Centre and our shops – whilst stocks last!
Can you Knit or Crochet for Us?
Grab your knitting needles and start crafting as many chicks and friends as you can. You can use any colours you like, and if you’re not sure how to get started, don’t worry—we have easy-to-follow pattern for you.

Can you donate chocolate eggs?
Each knitted chick needs a Creme Egg-sized chocolate egg inside to complete the Easter surprise!
You can donate eggs at our receptions or shops or send them directly via our Amazon Wishlist.
Would your school, workplace, or business like to organise a collection?
Let us know—we’ll provide everything you need!
Can you buy a chick or help them find a home?
Our knitted chicks will be ready to be re-homed throughout March at our shops and community venues. Would you like to sell a box of chicks in your community, school, or business? These make a fantastic Easter treat and are always incredibly popular.

We’ll provide posters and collection tubs to make selling easy. 100% of the money raised goes directly to supporting future patients in Cambridgeshire and their loved ones.

How can I get involved?
You can help by knitting chicks, donating chocolate eggs, buying a chick, or selling them in your community.
What sized chocolate eggs do you need?
We need Creme Egg-sized chocolate eggs to fit inside our knitted chicks.
Where can I drop off knitted chicks and chocolate eggs?
You can send them to us by post or drop them off at from our reception at Arthur Rank Hospice, at the Alan Hudson Centre at one of our shops or another collection point. Contact us for the latest locations.
Can I use any yarn to knit or crochet the chicks?
Yes! Any colours and types of yarn are welcome. The brighter, the better!
When do you need the knitted chicks?
All knitted chicks must be received by Monday 3 March and chocolate eggs must be received by Friday 28 March for this season.
Where can I buy a knitted chick?
Chicks will be on sale throughout March in our receptions at our shops and various community locations.
Can I help re-home knitted chicks in my local area?
Absolutely! Schools, offices, nurseries, and local pubs make great selling spots. We’ll provide a flock of 25 chicks or more, posters, and collection tubs—just email us at cf@arhc.org.uk to get started.
