We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of the #TeamArthur Firewalk held under the starry Cambridge sky on Saturday November 18, 2023.
This exhilarating event brought together spirited participants, who wanted to challenge themselves with a mind over matter attitude and muster the courage to walk on fiery hot coals.
Neil Whiteside, the voice behind the live mid-morning show on Cambridge 105 Radio fearlessly took on the challenge, shared his transformative experience, saying:
“It taught me that most of the challenges we face are simply in our head. It definitely changed my view on life, and I was delighted to help raise a decent sum for a wonderful local charity.”
The event saw 23 fiery souls bravely walking across red-hot embers as a result of overcoming personal fears and limitations in their lives. Pulling together to support one another and they showed the strength of the local community. Together they raised an impressive sum of over £11000 for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. The funds will contribute to the vital services and support the Hospice provides to those facing life-limiting illnesses.
Sarah Clayton, a representative of Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, expressed her gratitude, stating:
“The #TeamArthur Firewalk was a fantastic success. We are so thankful to all our participants and spectators who attended, and those in our community who supported them. The Hospice was filled with such warmth and positive energy the whole evening. The brave soles who walked on fire certainly made the whole of Team Arthur proud.”
