Do you have what it takes to move the Hospice’s fundraising to the next level? This new role has been created in response to the growing challenges of securing £8.25 million each year, to fund the Hospice’s care. Recently recognised as Outstanding by CQC, our care and support is delivered free of charge at the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech and in people’s own homes across Cambridgeshire through our Community team. As an independent Hospice, our fundraising activities support the delivery of a vast range of vital services across the county. You will be excited about developing your own relationships and fundraising initiatives, whilst playing a key role in overseeing the fundraising teams who: secure income from individuals and groups in the community; drive income through challenge and mass participation events; and generate funds through direct marketing, raffles and newsletters. Working in collaboration with the Head of Engagement you will be a strong leader and a confident public speaker, who is passionate about placing supporters and donors at the heart of our strategy and developing fundraising in a way which benefits the whole team and the wider Charity. Together with the Director of Fundraising and Communications and Senior Leadership Team, you will develop, implement and nurture the Hospice’s fundraising strategy through your own and your teams’ work. You have a talent for identifying sustainable events, a proven ability to identify products that deliver and an eye for spotting what could be changed to increase success.
