Arthurs Shed – Clay Session Lead Volunteer

What you need to know:

  • You do not need to be a professional but will need to be at a standard which will allow you teach others the basics
  • Sessions will host around 8-10 people maximum
  • We use air-dried clay and clay paints, we do not use a kiln
  • Sessions are mixed-ability, we encourage you to keep sessions informal and relaxed, providing more support to those that want it
  • Sessions are drop-in, attendees can attend just one session and take their item home or they can attend multiple to keep working on items, create new ones, or decorate their work
  • We have flexibility with the day you deliver the session but do request your session is delivered at the same day and time each week/fortnight to provide continuity
  • Session Leads volunteer independently and are self-led, seeking guidance from the Voluntary Services Manager where needed
  • All materials are bought by us for you

This role would suit someone who likes facilitating group work (or would like to try!), working with a diverse group of people and is happy working independently.
