Volunteer Driver

Ian Grittiths

I drive a transit van to collect furniture and donations from donor’s homes and deliver and collect goods from the 5 Hospice shops (Cottenham, Shelford and the three Cambridge stores; Regent Street, Mill Road and Burleigh Street). This is normally on a Friday afternoon but on occasions, to help out, I drive on other days.

I like having a clear role, being part of a friendly team, being out and about and making a contribution towards funding such a valuable charity.

I would certainly recommend becoming a Hospice driver. I have volunteered for the Hospice since 2012 and have absolutely no regrets at having done so.
