Baked goods raised £100’s in memory of Grandma Christine

Emma, aged 10, wanted to do something in memory of her much loved Grandma, Christine Brooks, and decided on a cake sale.
Lisa Hadley, Emma’s Mum, contacted the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity fundraising team to let them know she had raised an amazing £326.00 from her baked goods stall and donations from those not able to attend on the day.
Christine was cared for by the Charity’s Hospice at Home Team so Lisa and Emma decided to donate the money to help others in a similar position to help every moment count for them too.
Lisa commented:
“We hope the money goes a little way to helping the people you care for.”
Community Fundraiser, Sarah Clayton shared:
“Every penny really helps the people we support and cake sales are a timeless winner in the fundraising world. Emma, we are all so proud of you for raising such a wonderful amount in memory of your Grandma.”

If you or the younger members of your family have been inspired by Emma and would like to fundraise for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity please contact Sarah from our Community Fundraising team, email cf@arhc.org.uk or call 01223 675888 for fundraising support.
