Mike McCall

Ambassador

I happened across the Hospice when I was asked by a neighbour and friend who was a short term Inpatient for Carer Relief in the early 1980’s.

Later visits for work purposes allowed me to the see more of the work of the Hospice, so I joined the Volunteer Team. Initially on Supermarket collections and event support activity.

This led to patient transport roles, as well as I found the time to become more involved in the work of the Charity.

Following assisting the move from Brookfields to Shelford Bottom in 2016, it was suggested that I might like to become an Ambassador.

Having been used to talking to groups of people in previous jobs, I accepted and enjoyed that role.

I am still delighted to be considered an Ambassor for the Charity.
