I started as a volunteer in July 2017 and did various roles including Marshalling, Van driving, Street collections and Christmas Tree Recycling pick up.

The reasons for volunteering stem directly from my very positive experiences of the staff and care at the Hospice for my Brother in Law, a family friend, an ex colleague and others of lesser acquaintance.

Subsequently, of all the volunteering roles available in society, I felt the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity was the most appropriate for me.

Previously my career was as a Police Officer, spending nearly 35 years in the Cambridgeshire Constabulary across the force area in various roles and ranks.
