Lorraine Petersen

Medical Director

I have worked as a consultant at the Arthur Rank Hospice since 2014.

I became the Medical Director and member of the Senior Leadership Team when we left the NHS in 2016.

I am the Caldicott Guardian and am closely involved in clinical governance, service development and medical training.

My clinical work focuses on the care of patients in the Inpatient Unit, working in a team with different professionals to provide holistic care to patients and their families.

Hospice care has changed so much during the years and even when life and the role may be challenging, it remains a joy to work here.

When I am not working, I like to dance Argentine tango, walk my dog or play golf.

I am also a trustee for Choices –  another local charity supporting adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
