Cambridge based ‘Strictly 4U‘, is a community group of Ballroom and Latin dancers of all abilities, from beginners to tutors. Workshop Leader, Tony Cronshaw said:
“Our goal is having fun through social dancing. Our Tuesday night workshops in Cambridge are all about learning more and practising to improve, so we can go out social dancing at Tea Dances and at dance events.
Our Charity Dance in November, held at the Arbury Community Centre, attracted a room-full of dancers, with the common aim of turning fun into fundraising.”
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Ambassador, Sheila Pierre, ‘quick-stepped’ her way into the spirit of things helping to run a raffle and auction. Sheila shared:
“I’ve attended this event for three years running now and the atmosphere is always so friendly. There were so many prizes, it felt like there were more prizes than people!
I’m just so impressed how a fun pastime has doubled as a very useful fundraiser, especially at the present time when the Charity faces a huge funding challenge.
On behalf of our patients and their loved ones I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at ‘Strictly4U’ for their support. ”
