With lots of love and a sprinkling of magic our talented volunteer knitters did it again!!

The ‘Knits of the round table’ is a volunteer group from both our Cambridge Hospice and from the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre. They celebrated their 4th birthday in March and regularly adorn the lampposts, leading from the path to the Hospice from the Babraham Road Park & Ride, with their talented creations to make the journey a little brighter.
We think they excelled themselves this time with some magical miniature residencies which included:
Blackberry Barn…
Cornflower Castle…
Toadflax Hall…
Poppy Palace:
and Hazelnut Hall…
Our new fairy doors were a real #TeamArthur effort as when the group met for a long overdue face-to-face catch up (with the obligatory tea and cake) to put the new fairy doors in place, volunteer gardeners, Kath and Trevor and Kate, one of our Complementary Therapists prepared the ground and planted lovely wildflowers below the lampposts. Hannah, our Voluntary Services Manager used her amazing artistic skills to make the fairies come to life with hand drawn images!
We really enjoyed sharing our fairy doors on our social media platforms and can’t thank the Knits of the Round Table and everyone involved enough for always putting a smile on our face on the walk to the Hospice. 💚
