Virtual Star Shine Walk – update!

Our annual Star Shine Walk is over for this year, and in the midst of all the pandemic uncertainty, we couldn’t say a big enough thank you to our amazing community who embraced a first-ever ‘virtual’ event this year. Nearly 300 of you took part in the 20,000 step challenge, raising an incredible £25,500 (and rising!) in sponsorship alone, from friends, family and colleagues.
Seeing your selfies and route maps, and sharing the people you walked in memory of with us, has been a big highlight for the team behind the event – thank you for embracing the virtual version, making it your own and sharing it with us! You have really made a difference to the lives of those we support throughout Cambridgeshire.
A big thanks are also due to our wonderful headline sponsor, the Cambridgeshire Care Home, who not only made producing the event possible, but got behind it with gusto with lots of staff and residents taking part, too.
Here’s to you all for making every step count, so that we can keep making every moment count for local people.
