As a Charity we are more than aware that a forward-looking strategy is important because clarity of purpose and direction is key to a thriving organisation.

In early 2021, trustees, volunteers and colleagues, led by our CEO, Sharon Allen, began work to develop our new long-term strategy, starting from April 2022, to include what we want to achieve in future years whilst ensuring that we continue to provide the highest standard of care and support for those who need us.

Listening to our Community

It is very important to everyone at the Charity that we engage with our community, and hear what matters to them, and so we used this to inform our priorities for the next five years. We had hoped this engagement would be in person, in community venues around the county; unfortunately, the pandemic put paid to this and we had to revert to online sessions and an online survey, however this proved very successful as an alternative.

We are grateful to everyone who engaged with us, including our colleagues. Their insights and suggestions were invaluable in guiding our thinking and decisions about our new strategy.

2022-2027

We are acutely aware of the challenges ahead and the importance of planning for the unexpected! This new strategy is therefore a rolling strategy, initially covering the five-year period from 2022 to 2027.

The Charity’s trustee board approved the final strategy plans at their meeting in March 2022 and we are delighted to share this with you. You can download a copy of our Long-term Strategy Plan from our website here: arhc.org.uk/about-us/governance/annual-documents-reports/

We hope that you enjoy reading this document, which incudes both our achievements during the past five years, and our plans for the future.
