Minnie and friends raise over £200 at School Cake Bake

When Minnie’s family contacted us to let us know that Minnie wanted to hold a cake sale at her school for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity we were delighted. Minnie’s nanna, Maureen, is a regular at the Hospice and can often be seen on Reception on Thursday or on alternative days stocking up the merchandise cabinets. What was even better was that Minnie came up with the idea without any prompting and created a letter asking permission from the headteacher at Swavesey Primary School as well as a poster. The only baking was carried out by her family suitably aided by Minnie as a taste tester.Minnie came into the Hospice last Monday to bring in her donations and so we could meet and thank her personally. Minnie and her friends and teachers at Swavesey Primary School raised a whopping £225.50!! This was a massive achievement and proves that cakes are very popular at the school. THANK YOU to Minnie and her teachers and friends for their support … we truly appreciate it.If you have been inspired by Minnie’s story and would like to do something similar, please contact the Community Fundraising team on fundraising@arhc.org.uk or call 01223 675888.We would love to hear from anybody who would like to hold a school cake bake or host a Time for Tea event
