Nicky is one of four Complementary Therapists working at the Hospice at Shelford Bottom. She specialises in Reflexology and Bowen Therapy and started working for the Charity in March 2025.
She kindly shared more about her role:
“I work across all the services within the Charity, so you can find me in the Inpatient Unit, as an outpatient at the Living Well Service or in someone’s home in the community. The best thing about what I do is working with patients and their loved ones and hearing their stories about their lives.
I have been a Reflexologist since 2023 and I love seeing how working on people’s feet or hands can help bring about a sense of calmness and peace.
What I love most about my job is that I get to work with people from all walks of life and get to hear about their life and share a very personal part of their life journey. I have met people who have been completely and utterly inspiring and have given me a total new outlook on life.”
She continued by sharing something we didn’t know about her:
“I live in a small village just outside Ely, I am married with one grown-up son called Oliver, two grandchildren, and a much-loved cockapoo called Bertie who rules the house!

I feel very lucky to be able to use my skills and knowledge of Reflexology to help support patients and carers at the Charity.”
