Sarah Fay, Complementary Therapist

Sarah-Fay Berry is a Complementary Therapist and has worked at the Charity since 2019. She kindly shared more about her role:

“I am a Complementary Therapist at The Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech. I offer several Complementary Therapies, such as massage and reflexology, with a listening ear to patients and families. I also co-facilitate the Bereavement group and run a ‘Love to Move’ group (chair-based exercise and cognitive enhancement.) I also do some domiciliary visits.

The best thing about what I do is seeing people leave sessions feeling better than when they arrived. Supporting them to relax and release physical and emotional tension, despite the difficulties they are facing. Holding space for patients and relatives to be their most authentic self, no brave face required.

There are many memorable moments at The Alan Hudson centre. Introducing the ‘Love to Move’ Group – which is a lively fun group, full of music and laughter and general silliness. I must also mention when the Llamas came to the Living Well Group, everyone just lit up. It is always a joy when animals or babies come into the Centre.

I enjoy creativity and believe in it as an essential form of self-care. I have a background in visual arts and occupational therapy. These two different perspectives have been an influence throughout my career in health and social care. I initially connected with Complementary Therapy to manage my own wellbeing and then down the rabbit hole I went.

My devotion outside work is in expressive dance. I am training in Dance in Cancer Care in November 2026, exploring the blending of two of my passions.
