Cambridge Freemasons enjoy Strawberry Picnic for Hospice
Share this story

We were recently invited to the Strawberry Picnic event held by the Cambridge Freemasons Club all situated on the stunning lawns of the Masonic Hall in Cambridge. 60 Freemasons and their families joined in and took part in a tombola, wine or water stand, guess how many coins in a jar and our very own Arthur Rank Hospice Charity stand. The menu was equally delicious: a cold salmon and meat buffet followed by strawberries and cream and refreshments. During this time a Banjo band entertained the guests with sublime music from across the eras.
Guests also enjoyed a table quiz and took part in a raffle and auction; a total of over £520 was raised. Alison Pinney, Community Fundraiser, later met Tony Hore, Secretary of the Cambridge Freemason Club when he visited the Hospice to present the cheque.
Alison said:
“It was a delight to be a part of this event on one of the hottest days of the year. It was a privilege to talk to many of the guests and highlight the work we do at the Charity. We thank The Freemasons for all their ongoing support”
