Would you like to support the Hospice in a creative capacity?

The Living Well Service Creative Activities Lead Volunteer is a brand new role, to support our Life Celebration and Creative Activities Coordinator and other staff in the Team.  We are looking for volunteers to come to the hospice during the Living Well sessions, on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30-12:30.

Volunteers will be working alongside staff, and full training will be given.   The main part of this role is to:

  • Prepare materials from the art cupboard before the session begins.
  • Pack away the materials at the end of the session.
  • Explain how to complete an activity, the session should be unstructured, and allow patients to explore the activity in a way which is meaningful to them.
  • Have conversations with patients introducing the concept of Life Celebration Work, what it may entail, and to feedback to LWS Team if the patient would like to undertake Life Celebration sessions.

A full role description is attached.

Please apply online.  If you have any questions please contact us on volunteer@arhc.org.uk, 01223 675872 Monday-Friday 9-5pm.
