Cat Gregory is an Occupational Therapist (OT) at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and was inspired to raise awareness and funds by taking on her very first marathon!

On 1 October 2023, Cat, who supports people at the Living Well Services and the Inpatient Unit, will challenge herself mentally and physically by running the 26 miles in the Loch Ness Marathon in Scotland. Cat commented:

“Every day I see the positive difference that our services make to the lives of patients and families.”

For Cat, the Loch Ness Marathon holds a significant meaning – having grown up in Scotland, she fondly recalls family vacations at Loch Lommond, always keeping an eye out for Nessie, the mythical creature. With the Loch Ness Marathon serving as an opportunity to return to her roots, she hopes to create lasting memories while contributing to a cause close to her heart. She continued:

I am always on the look out for Nessie, my cousins saw him but I didn’t – so hopefully I’ll get lucky this time.”

Sarah Clayton, Community Fundraiser at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity commented:

” Our Clinical Team are incredible and so supportive taking on challenges for the Charity. We are always thrilled to see #TeamArthur being represented far and wide, around the world. Very best of luck Cat and say ‘Hi’ to Nessie for us.”
