In 2023, the Cavendish Court Cambourne Social Committee took on the challenge to fundraise for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.
Led by the Chairwoman Pat Holan, the committee, alongside the assistance of Court Manager Chris Morris, orchestrated an array of events that not only brought joy and camaraderie but also raised significant funds for the Charity.
Throughout the year, the committee organised a variety of events. From lively quizzes, that ignited friendly competition, to the excitement of a race night, the residents of Cavendish Court Cambourne were treated to memorable moments that transcended the ordinary. The committee also curated a special Ladies Day, celebrating the women in the community, and a delightful Fish and Chip’s Supper, adding a touch of nostalgia to the retired residents’ evenings.
The Social Committee, representing the collective spirit of Cavendish Court Cambourne, presented a cheque of £1,600 to Community Fundraiser, Sarah Clayton, from Arthur Rank Hospice Charity at their most recent coffee morning.
Sarah explained;
“We are delighted to hear of the fantastic effort made at Cavendish Court, it is clear that Cavendish Court Cambourne’s Social Committee has not only raised funds but has also community spirit and compassion. “
The funds raised by Cavendish Court Cambourne Social Committee will undoubtedly play a crucial role in supporting people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition.
