Arthur Rank Hospice Charity would like to say thank you to family and friends for raising £500 for the Charity, at Helga Harnor’s Service of Celebration, which took place at Friends Meeting House in Cambridge on Saturday 12 August 2023.
Martin Harnor, Helga’s husband, met with Abi Christine-Segust, Remembrance Officer, to share his story of how his wife had been cared for at home for six months by the Charity’s Hospice at Home Team.
Martin and Helga shared more than fifty very happy years together enjoying being outdoors exploring beautiful National Trust walks and going for days out at one of Helga’s favourite places, the Raptor Foundation in St Ives.
Martin shared some special photos and fond memories with Abi, including a picture of Helga’s final trip out in the snow, which she was able to enjoy due to the care she was receiving from Hospice at Home.
Helga passed away peacefully without pain at home.
Thank you once again to Martin for choosing to pay tribute to Helga in such a thoughtful way.
