Warwick Rutherford signed up to play Your Hospice Lottery when a member of the team called around three years ago and was delighted when he won the top prize of £1,000 on 4 April 2025. Warwick commented:
“When they mentioned Arthur Rank Hospice Charity as one of the hospices they work with I thought it would be a good way to support a local charity. My mother had spent some time at Arthur Rank Hospice around 30 years ago after she had been diagnosed with cancer. We thought she wouldn’t come out, but she did. It was a great seeing her being wheeled out the door ready to go home, a real achievement by all that were involved in her care.”
Your Hospice Lottery is a weekly fundraising lottery. A fun and exciting way to help Arthur Rank Hospice Charity raise vital funds that will secure future support for people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and end of life care. It only costs £1 per play, and you can choose to play every week or whenever you feel like taking a chance and doing something good.
Warwick is going to use the £1000 to restore his classic Vespa and advises anyone who is thinking of playing a local lottery to go for it as it is supporting a good cause.
