COLLECTION TOTAL April 2016 - present: £7,692
Charity collections are greatly appreciated at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. Not only do they raise much needed funds for the charity but importantly they also raise awareness of the services people can access through Arthur Rank Hospice.
Charity collections are all co-ordinated by Andrea Murauskas, our part-time community fundraiser. Andrea has enlisted a wonderful group of volunteers who kindly turn out in all weather to represent the charity and raise funds by holding a collection tin for loose change offered by passers by.
Andrea works closely with supermarkets, shopping centres and teams arranging special events, such as the annual Christmas light switch on and a wide array of fetes and festivals. You may have seen our volunteers in a variety of locations such as Sainsburys, Tesco and even Lion Yard.
In 2015, £12,512.10 was raised through street, supermarket and event collections.
