In April 2023, ‘Timber MTB’ -a team of mountain bike riders from East Anglia, will be taking part in MacAvalanche 2023 in memory of Barry Cooke who was cared for by the Charity in his final days.
They will join over 200 cycle riders at Aonach Mór at the Ben Nevis mountain range at Fort William in Scotland to hurtle through the snow, descending over 900m at a rapid rate. Described as a race for the fearless, Team Timber are ready to go!
Tony Garner, Team captain explained:
“This will be a serious challenge as we are all used to flat riding. The team will be racing on the Saturday and taking on another challenging route next to Ben Nevis on the Sunday. We are raising vital funds for Arthur Rank Hospice as is a charity close to the heart of a couple of the riders.”

Community Fundraiser, Sarah Clayton said:
“We wish Team Timber the very best of best of luck, it is always so special have a groups of friends support the Charity. We thank Tony, Jamie, Joe ,Tiago, Billy and Philip for all their support.”
