Granddaughter brings Christmas Cheer to patients in memory of her Mum and Grandma

The Alan Hudson Centre supports over 1,200 people every year with free personalised care and support for individuals living with life-limiting illness across Wisbech and the Fens.
Mizzie had been a patient at the Centre to support her with her illness. For several years, to give back, she and her daughter Cheryl enjoyed visiting the Centre to decorate it for Christmas. Very sadly Cheryl died earlier in 2025 and a month later Mizzie also passed away.
To keep up the tradition, this year Mizzie’s Granddaughter, Jess, along with family and friends, bravely visited the staff at the Centre and decorated it for patients in honour of her Mum and Grandma. They also, kindly donated chocolates and mince pies.

Lead Nurse at the Alan Hudson Centre, Claire Walpole commented:
“We feel very lucky to have Jess and her friends and family visit us at the Centre, particularly after such a difficult year for them. The Charity’s vision is to ‘make every moment count’ and they have certainly help to bring a little joy to patients coming for treatment here this Christmas time.”
The Alan Hudson Centre is part of Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, who care for over 3,800 patients a year at the Centre, in the Hospice in Cambridge and in people’s own homes across Cambridgeshire.
