Festive Fun-draising for the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech
Share this story
Fundraisers in the Fenland area have been busy raising vital funds for patients at the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech and people supported by the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity this Festive Season.
The Alan Hudson Centre supports over 1,200 people every year with free personalised care and support for individuals living with life-limiting illness across Wisbech and the Fens.
The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people every year both at the Alan Hudson Centre, the Hospice in Cambridge and in people’s own homes in the community, via the Hospice at Home Team.
Rudolph Run
Children at Emneth Academy had fun taking part in a Rudolph Run at their school, complete with reindeer antlers.
They were then treated to a visit from Arthur Bear and a talk about the Charity, opening up child friendly conversations about death and dying.
Collectively they donated over £1.800 to support patients.
The Giving Tree
The Black Cat Residential Property kindly collected presents for patients again this year at their Giving Tree initiative inside their premises. Gifts were handed out to patients both at the Alan Hudson Centre and in patients own homes via the Hospice at Home Team.
Christmas Market
Supporters had fun at a Christmas Market at the Secret Garden in Wisbech – complete with a raffle and Father Christmas of course.
Everyone at the Charity is very grateful for all their contributions which will continue to support people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care.
