Daniel Robinson & Sons / Peasgood & Skeates’ Annual Charity Golf Day at Colne Valley Golf Club in September 2026, has once again proved what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause.
With 140 golfers across 35 teams, the occasion demonstrated the power of corporate partnership and community spirit, raising an incredible £48,000 for four local hospices.
The event saw local community and businesses coming together to enjoy a day of friendly competition, teamwork and an amazing hole in one! The celebrations continued into the evening with guests enjoying a relaxing meal, before taking part in a lively auction that generated further support for hospice care. The generosity shown throughout was fantastic, with attendees digging deep to help raise vital funds that will make a meaningful difference to patients and families facing some of life’s most challenging times.
Behind the scenes, an enormous amount of planning and hard work went into making the day such a success and Arthur Rank Hospice Charity would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support. Whether by attending, sponsoring, volunteering, donating prizes or helping with the organisation, every person involved helped create an unforgettable day and an outstanding fundraising achievement.

Sean Martin, Chief Operating Officer for Peasgood & Skeates, explained:
“There are few people that do not know the amazing work of our Hospices and the support they provide to those with terminal illness and their families. We have all known someone who has benefited from their care and expertise. It is all the more important therefore in these challenging financial times, when their funding is under such pressure and services are in peril, that we all step forward and provide our support.
Peasgood & Skeates and Daniel Robinson and Sons work closely with a number of hospices and Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in Cambridgeshire is amongst them. Through the power of golf, the support of our colleagues in organising the event and the generosity of our golfing guests, we are delighted to provide such a worthy contribution of the funds we have raised.”
Special recognition goes to Gary Neill, Managing Director at Daniel Robinson & Sons, whose leadership, commitment and enthusiasm was instrumental in the success of the event.

The £48,000 raised will be shared between Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, Farleigh Hospice, St Clare Hospice and Isabel Hospice. These funds will help each organisation continue to provide compassionate care and support to patients and their loved ones when they need it most.
Jodie Vaughan, Income Generation & Communications Director at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity said:
“It was wonderful to see so many people come out to support their four local hospices through this fantastic day of golf and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who attended and especially those that sponsored and organised the day. We are extremely grateful for the long-standing relationship we have with Peasgood & Skeates who have been generous supporters of our Charity for many years.”
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity are fortunate to work with some incredible businesses across Cambridgeshire who play a key role in helping to fund care for our patients each year.
