Local businesses will pleased to hear that Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is excited to announce the launch of the Money Multiplier Challenge, a new fundraising initiative.
Running from October to December 2024, participating businesses will receive a seed fund of £50 from the Charity, gifted by the event sponsor, C4B Media.
The goal is to multiply that £50 as much as possible through innovative and fun activities during the three months. From hosting events and cake sales to organizing sponsored activities and more, the possibilities are endless.
The team that raises the most will be awarded a glass trophy, made and gifted by GoGlass, as well as free tickets to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity’s 2024 events.
Bidwells are the first team to officially sign up. Phill Theaker, Finance Operations Director, shared the reason why they are supporting the Charity:
“Supporting Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is particularly meaningful to Bidwells as two of our colleagues were compassionately cared for and passed away at the Hospice in the last couple of years.
So far this year, we have had teams volunteering in the Hospice garden and have engaged in numerous fundraising initiatives, including a team 30k walk and participation in the Cambridge Half Marathon. So, it only seems right that we finish this year by taking part in the Money Multiplier Challenge.
We are truly happy and proud to be affiliated with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and look forward to starting our next fundraising efforts in October.”
When asked about whether they have any fundraising ideas yet, Phill answered:
“We’ll be starting by organizing an after-work quiz at our offices on Trumpington Road, and some more ideas to follow. Our sports and social committee is great at finding ways for colleagues at Bidwells to have fun while making a positive impact in the community, so I’m sure they’ll find ways to link all our usual social fun to fundraising in these months.”
The aim of the challenge this year is for businesses to work together (with a little friendly competition) to raise £5,000 towards the Charity’s services. All funds raised will provide care for people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care, and help to ensure their loved ones can access much needed support.
Teams will have full support from the Charity’s fundraising team, helping to set up fundraising pages, providing fundraising materials, helping to brainstorm ways to raise money and more.
