Arthur's Shed


Located in the gardens of the Hospice

 

Sharing time and talents - community activity

Come and join us in Arthur’s Shed, our beautiful community hub set in the landscaped gardens of the Hospice.

All our sessions are open to the public and free of charge, you could join..

Sisters Shed: A fun and relaxed drop in choir open to all abilities

Clay Work: Create beautiful ornaments from air dried clay

Mens Shed Association: Connect, converse and create!

Reiki & Crystals: Treat yourself to an hour of relaxation using meditation, reiki and crystals

Still Life Drawing: Learn to build on your drawing skills or simply enjoy sketching in an informal group setting

Tai Chi: Gentle exercise to calm, relax and refresh

Sugarcraft: Learn the incredible skill of sugarcraft and create your own beautiful pieces to take away

Astronomy: Learn all about the stars in this wonderful session on space!

Arthurs Yard: Build and create a large model railway alongside experienced enthusiasts

Activities

We offer a wide range of activities. Our session leaders can adapt to your ability whether it’s a first try or a wish to pursue a hobby. We would love to hear your ideas for future activities. CLICK HERE to view session timetable.

Volunteering

Our sessions are supported by a range of talented volunteers. Previous teaching of your skill would be an advantage. If you have a talent and would like to share this please email Hannah on Hannah.Touhey@arhc.org.uk

Funding

Thanks to generous funding (find out more HERE), sessions are free of charge. If you would like to make a donation we suggest £5 per class. Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you to the Shed soon!
