Is writing your Will a job which keeps falling off your to do list?
It is easy to keep putting it off but a Will is essential to ensure that, after your death, your assets go where you want. Many people have said they feel better once they have written their Will so they can get on with living.
The Charity has paired with the National Free Farewills Service to make writing your Will easier.
One of our Trustees, Julia Curtis and her husband, recently used the service and kindly shared their experience:
“We decided to use the National Free Farewills service after a positive recommendation from a friend. The instructions were very clear and the whole process was easy and efficient.”
Julia and her husband also decided to leave a gift in their Will to the Charity and explained why:
“We also chose to leave something to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity because I see first hand the positive impact that the Charity has for so many people. Staff treat patients and families with compassion and dignity and go the extra mile to make sure patients feel cared for and their families are supported.
When helping with fund raising events, we meet so many people who share stories of how staff made such a difference to the time with their loved ones and it makes me very proud to be a Trustee of such a valued organisation.”
She added:
“I am a passionate believer that Hospice care should be centrally funded and should not rely on Charity fundraising to be able to offer the incredible services that everyone deserves. However, due to the tireless efforts of our fundraising team, we are able to continue to care for people who need us, so I would urge anyone looking to write their wills, to use the free service and consider leaving a donation to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, as every penny helps.”
The Charity is very grateful to everyone who is kind enough to leave a gift in their Will to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity which will help to ensure that the needs of future generations will be met.
