Images of you in attendance at a training course (advance warning that filming will be taking place prior to your attendance and an opt out opportunity given before the session commences).

Information about books you have loaned.

Information you give us (directly or through the devices you use to contact us).

To send you news about our education programme, library services or conference facilities.
Education
To process the course booking, allocate you a place and use the relevant details for funding and to process invoices.
to ensure refreshments are booked and that any requirements are met such as hearing loops or special dietary requirements.
To ensure you are applying for the relevant course.
Event & Conference Centre
To book meeting rooms.
To organise event services on your behalf.
Library Service
To provide library and information services, including loans of library resources, reminders and overdue notices and interlibrary loans and document supply.
Our lawful basis for collecting and using your information
Article 6 of the GDPR and the DPA state, we must have a legal reason to collect, keep and use your data. We rely on the following legal basis:

Where we reply on consent as our lawful basis, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, however this may have an adverse effect providing services.
We seek consent from the holder of parental responsibility when processing personal data relating to those under the age of 18.
Sharing your information
Unless required for statutory obligations, we will never share or sell your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. However, we do use trusted suppliers to help us deliver the best service in certain areas of our work.
These third parties may include: event registration platforms, newsletter distribution providers, NHS Library Services, third party support providers, other leading training provider.
