Ely Support Group formed over two decades ago and have since raised more than £30,000 for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.Jill and her band of helpers have represented the charity on many occasions. Recent activities which include running stalls, organising tombola’s, knitting and selling Easter chicks have enabled Jill to smash through this £30,000 milestone. Furthermore with so many knitted chicks available, the group even donated several to the hospice in Cambridge raising even further funds.Hospice at Home is a much loved service in the Ely area and the Help Us Be There appeal really resonated with this group. Due to this Jill has asked that recent fundraising efforts be dedicated specially to this important appeal. The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity remains very grateful to Jill and her members for keeping the presence of the charity high in the Ely, whilst also raising substantial funds for the charity during their extensive period of support. The Charity have been reassured that their support is unrelenting, with the next event in the diary for the 14th September. The group are passionate about continuing to support the work of the hospice by raising further funds over the coming years.
