Point Recruitment has helped spread festive cheer while making a real difference by raising an incredible £1,700 for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity through their Christmas Charity Raffle.
Local businesses took part in the raffle and came together for the chance to win a luxurious Fortnum & Mason hamper, with all proceeds supporting people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care.
On 9 December, Sophie Marriage, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, visited Point Recruitment’s office for a cheque presentation with Managing Director, Will Granger.
Will has a personal connection to the Charity because his aunt was cared for at the Inpatient Unit at Arthur Rank Hospice in October 2025. He witnessed first-hand the “Outstanding” care provided by the team at the Hospice and seeing this made him want to do something to give back. Reflecting on the experience, Will shared:
“My cousin has a young son who was able to play with the toys in the family room when they were visiting. The facilities and care were exceptional.”
While Will’s aunt was being cared for at the Hospice, news of funding cuts broke, and Will and his team felt compelled to act:
“I first heard about the funding cuts from my colleague, Nico. It was a shock to hear about this decision, especially after seeing the facilities and care provided. We decided as a team that we wanted to do something to help.”
Nico, Recruitment Consultant at Point Recruitment, also has a personal connection to the Hospice, as his grandmother received care there. He was proud to be part of the initiative:
“The business community in and around Huntingdon were so supportive of the raffle. It was interesting hearing that others had their own experiences of care with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.”
Sophie, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, expressed heartfelt thanks:
“Thank you to Point Recruitment and everyone who supported the raffle. £1,700 is an incredible amount to raise and will allow Arthur Rank Hospice Charity to continue making every moment count for our patients and their loved ones. A huge congratulations to raffle winners Orbital too.”
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity cares for more than 3,800 people across Cambridgeshire each year at the Hospice in Cambridge, at the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech and in people’s own homes via the Hospice at Home Team.
Point Recruitment joins a growing number of corporate partners showing incredible support following the launch of our Protect Our Care campaign.
