Would you like a flexible volunteer role in a supportive capacity? Then this is the role for you!
The Voluntary Services Team supports over 600 volunteers, providing a range of events, social opportunities and meetings throughout the year. We are looking for a volunteer to support us by note taking these meetings. Notes provide a summary of key themes or topics and allow volunteers who are unable to attend to catch up on important information. This role would be flexible and you would only offer to attend meetings which worked for you. You would have a minimum of 2-4 weeks notice.
Virtual meetings would be recorded so could be watched back from home at a time that’s convenient or you would be welcome to attend the meeting live. Face to face meetings would need you to be present at the Hospice, our Shops or at our Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre. There would be no expectation that you would attend all meetings and we are looking for 2 volunteers to support in this role.
This role would particularly suit someone with administrative or secretary background but as the notes are summaries rather than minute-taking it could be completed by anyone competent using a computer!
