Our shops play a vital role in raising the essential funds for our Charity and we are currently looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to join our shop on Mill Road, Cambridge!

Each shop is its own little treasure trove and unique community hub, with our brilliant shop volunteers keeping donations sorted, tidied and flying off the shelves.

In this exciting role, you will assist the Shop Manager as necessary with the control and management of the retail operation, by deputising in their days of absence, assist in displaying stock in an attractive way, assist with recruitment, supervision and training of sufficient volunteers as necessary (please refer for more details to the job description)

To be successful in this role, you will have a good general education with excellent verbal, numerical and written skills, experience of working in a similar retail environment and be able to provide excellent customer service in an efficient and courteous manner.

Please note our shop operates 7 days per week, therefore, you will be working on a shift basis and expected to work some weekends.

We are committed to inclusivity, respect, fairness, engagement and equality of opportunity for our patients and their families, our staff and trustees, our volunteers and our supporters. We value the strength that comes with difference and the positive contribution that diversity brings to our community. Therefore, candidates with a disability that meet the minimum criteria will be guaranteed an interview. We are also working to increase diversity throughout the organisation and we particularly welcome applications from BAME people who are currently under-represented.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
