I am in the Hospice Monday to Friday, you will usually find me in the Business Support Office. I support the Senior Management Team in all manner of administrative tasks including arranging meetings, maintaining busy diaries, production of letters, typing of reports, production of presentations, distribution of papers and minute taking at internal Boards and other committees as required. I also act as secretariat to the Board of Trustees.
I am responsible for coordinating volunteers that survey all areas of the Hospice, and work with our data manager to update the results of feedback. I work with the Chair of the Hospice Users Group (HUG) to assist with administration for their monthly meetings and to arrange inspections as required.
I am always happy to help anyone who comes my way with queries or admin assistance, and although I am still fairly new I am now find that I can often help out and solve problems.
I joined the Hospice in June 2018 because I wanted to join an organisation that was making a difference every day to people’s lives. Having read a number of patient and family stories before I joined, I can really see now that I am here how every single member of the organisation has a part to play and how much the staff and volunteers are appreciated. Sometimes, even in a time of great sadness there can be joy to be found, and it is clear that these moments spend at the Hospice by those in need are precious and valued.
