The Liberty Ball raises £4000 for the Hospice!!

29 April 2019

The Liberty Ball that took place on 16th March at The Venue at Fulbourn Lodge raised an amazing £4000 for the Hospice.

With over 200 people attending, the Ball was a sell-out! Guests wore beautiful outfits and costumes which added even more glamour and sparkle to the night!

This event was full of fun with dancers who had a backdrop film of a night club in the 1920s and 30s. There was a guest appearance by singer ‘Cole Porter’ with his accompanist from the West End. Whilst eating, guests were entertained by Classworks Theatre, and the evening ended with Rhythm Revival, which had everyone partying the night away!

Further fundraising took place with a raffle, a ‘ring tree’ and auctions.

A special thanks to the staff at the Venue, Langley Larder Cambridge Buffet Company, Fulbourn Coop, our toastmaster – Richard Cawte, the Diamond Girls and to Fulbourn Arts for their performances.

Zoe Cheng, community fundraiser had the pleasure of joining some of the committee members for a cheque presentation at the Hospice.
