Invicta Fly Fishing Club catches £1,150.17!

19 February 2019

Invicta Fly Fishing Club have been busy raising money for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity through various fishing events. The club brought in donations by including a sweepstake at each trip/match, where members paid to guess the total number of fish caught that day. The average number of fish caught per angler was 3 or 4, with more fish caught during cooler temperatures – up to 200!  Each fishery also kindly donated a day boat ticket, with the person guessing the closest amount of fish caught winning the boat ticket! This special fundraiser shows how hooking a line is a fun way to help raise vital funds.

The club have kindly chosen to support the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in memory of Graham Williams who was an active member and thought of as the ‘cornerstone’ of the club.

On Thursday 3 January, Susie Gilbert, a Hospice Ambassador attended a buffet and cheque presentation with the Invicta Fly Fishing Club to congratulate them on their fundraising and share how their support will make a huge difference!
