42 hampers and a touch of festive spirit!

11 February 2019

Whilst many of us were busy searching for that perfect present to buy someone last Christmas, Trudy Payne and her family were busy putting together not one or two but 42 hampers!! These hampers were then raffled off to raise money for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in memory of Trudy’s Dad, Terry Sawyer, who received Hospice at Home Care before passing away in April 2018. The whole family came together like an army of Christmas elves and were involved in sourcing items, storing the hampers and selling the tickets.

With thanks to Trudy’s hard work and the support of her friends, family and the local community, an incredible £2510 was raised!!!

Bec Beattie, Community Fundraiser went to Trudy’s home to receive the big cheque! "It was so lovely to meet some of those who had been involved in this fantastic fundraiser and to have the opportunity to say thank you in person. We are so lucky to have the support of such wonderfully generous people like Trudy and her family. The way the local community got behind them too was testament to Trudy’s Dad Terry".

On behalf of everyone at the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity we would like to say THANK YOU!
