Shop Manager (full-time), Burleigh Street

01 February 2019

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity has an outstanding reputation for excellence in palliative and end of life care. We support people in Cambridgeshire, who are confronting life-limiting illnesses. Our positive and practical services deliver care, counselling and education, helping patients to live well and their families to live on.

Our Charity shops are an important source of funding and play a vital role in raising an awareness of the Charity, so you will be able to use your ideas, experience and creativity to help support the wonderful care provided by Arthur Rank Hospice.

We currently have 5 shops open: 3 in central Cambridge, Cottenham and Great Shelford and we trade across 7 days per week, therefore, we are looking to recruit a full-time Shop Manager to control and manage the retail operations of our shop on Burleigh Street in Cambridge.

We are very fortunate as we receive many high quality donations and part of your role will be to ensure the shop is well organised and looks attractive.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, have an experience of working in a similar retail environment as well as excellent communication skills. An experience of working with volunteers will be an advantage.

At our Charity, we value our staff and offer a range of benefits: Personal Pension Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Childcare Vouchers, Cycle to Work Scheme, Study leave, Lease cars (eligibility criteria applies), generous holiday entitlement, Staff Survey and staff Forum, access to Occupational Health Services, flexible working, ongoing training, Group Life Assurance and staff discounts to our in-house Bistro and Salon HD.
