Help our Hospice

Cambridge News' support for our appeal

Help raise £300k for the new hospice

On 12th May 2014, the Cambridge News launched a new appeal in support of our new hospice build: the aim was to raise £300,000 towards the new building which was planned (and which is now in situ) at Shelford Bottom.

The aim was that money raised towards this target would help fund our two four bedded inpatient bays, as well as five individual bedrooms.

The Cambridge News had supported the Charity historically at number of events including Bridge the Gap and the Big Bike Ride and we were delighted to receive support for our new hospice appeal too, Lynn Morgan, our CEO saying: 'We would like to thank Paul Brackley, Adam Luke and the whole Cambridge News team for their support. We are delighted that the Cambridge News have chosen to support us on such a big project. We receive wonderful support from the people of Cambridgeshire and we know our supporters will get behind this campaign to reach the £300k."

The official launch of the new hospice appeal took place on the 11th June 2014 at the Gog Magog Golf Club: an ideal venue, situated directly opposite what is now our new home! On 15th April 2015, Cambridge News launched their cashback rewards scheme and choose Arthur Rank Hospice Charity as one of the two beneficiaries.

As of the end of November 2016 and including Chariots of Fire 2014, the total including Gift Aid stands at £147,807.94 so huge thanks to everyone who has supported the campaign!
